The annual festival of theater a/d Werf will have beginning next the 20 of May, and it will extend until the 29 of May of 2010. The Festival aan of Werf presents/displays experimental productions, realized by independent artists who explore the artistic practices in scene appealing to the imagination and the creativity.
Although the Festival aan of Werf conserves their category of Festival of Theater, in fact it contemplates a number of disciplines that exceed to this classification. During the ten days of his presentation, it will count on visual arts, music and activities that will outdoors take place in 15 rooms or scenes. Altogether, this year is expected a number of 25 productions.
A parallel program also offers to the public an endless number of factories, debates, evaluations, events, meals, drinks and, as it cannot be of another way, many incredible celebrations. Every night, two gratuitous musical events in the Neude place will take place.
This year edition of the festival will be developed 25ª and, to celebrate his anniversary, it will count on the presence of prestigious artists worldwide: James Beckett, Roos van Geffen, Dries Verhoeven, Alain Platel and Abattoir Fermé are some of the special guests.
During these days, the art will meet in Utrecht to explore new limits, to question its own principles and to be useful this great opportunity for, once again, surprising and being surprised.
