The ethnographic museum of Rotterdam

Of the attractions that we can find in the great Dutch cities, the museums of Rotterdam are one of the main ones. Account with many and of diverse thematic. Among them, it emphasizes the Ethnographic Museum, that although is not of publicitados for the tourism, is extremely interesting.

The collection that keeps the Wereldmuseum de Rotterdam is one of most important of Europe. Account with pieces coming from the diverse sites, revealers of history, the rituals, the beliefs and the forms of life of each of them. Altogether, one is 200 thousand objects, an impressive number without doubts.

Between the places of origin of this collection, we can name some as interesting as New Guinea, Tibet, China, Japan, the old Persia, the zone of the $andes in America, India, and different points from the African continent.

Along with the main exhibition, the Ethnographic Museum mounts every year two far-reaching temporary samples. At this moment, the building is in a period of reforms, thus the institution remains closed.

In September of this year, it will reopen his doors. Day 9 of that month will inaugurate the sample “Incas, Able Moneybox: I sacrifice human like a real obligation?. This interesting exhibition will approach a form to us different to include/understand the old practices of the incaica and preincaica society.
