Itself you have a weekend to visit Amsterdam and can take advantage of some the wonderful supplies of trips that there are in the market, we propose an itinerary to you so that you do not lose the more important tourist places and so that, simultaneously, you can discover parts of the most authentic Amsterdam. We begin!
Saturday in the morning: it visits the Rijksmuseum and the Museum Van Gogh. They are both essential museums of Amsterdam and are closely together one of the other, in the part the west of the city, next to the Vondelpark. In first you will find only its masterpieces, because they are of reforms, but is than sufficient more. The best works of Dutch arts, including the famous ceramics of Delft and splendid pictures of the retratista Frans Hals, the teacher of the light Vermeer (its Milkmaid, for example) and Rembrandt (the round at night, the Jewish fianc2ee, etc).
In Van Gogh you will enjoy numerous works of the artist in whom one conjugates his genius and its madness. Among them some self-portraives, Sunflowers and other magnificent works where the color and the form are the protagonists. Also there are temporary exhibitions on other magnificent contemporary authors.
After this your tired legs and your saturated eyes they deserve a rest. You can eat something in the positions that there are in the green extension that is abre between both museums or to go to relajarte to the greatest park of the city: the Vondelpark.
Later it takes a street car (near the Rijksmuseum there is a shutdown) until the center and enjoys the life of the city. It enters the Begijnhof, a peculiar zone of residence where the beguines lived, a species of nuns seglares. It takes a walk by the channels and it admires the typical architecture of Amsterdam, with the masks that adorn the facades with different forms.
Pásate by the Niewmarkt, for me, the closeest place of Amsterdam. She is boisterous and it cheers and it has many terracitas where to also enjoy beer dots and coffee shops. In addition it is quite common that they touch groups of street musicians, sometimes with truly formidable puttings in scene, like rockers who touched upon a blue convertible cián. The essence of Amsterdam is concentrated here.
It connects afternoon with the night and it takes a walk by the Red District that begins in this place and that continues beyond the Dam place. A surprising spectacle and of resistances is abre before your eyes. Neon lights announcing spectacles of sex, prostitutas in the showcases, sex shops, coffee shops and much bullicio. It is a place that to anybody leaves indifferent.
