Pluk de Nacht is a cinema festival that organizes every year in the city of Amsterdam. The spirit of the event is to present/display the best pieces of independent cinema at international level, allowing the public to enjoy works that are not commercialized in Holland.
For that reason, Pluk de Nacht is characterized by the eclecticism of its repertoire: it includes films of an amplest fan of sorts and origins. Often, many of them are not spoken in English, so that subtitles are added to allow the understanding.
Every summer, they project documentary, shorts, films of artistic cinema and pieces of animation. The event congregates as much to an important compound multitude of professionals of means like of fans and lovers of the cinema. All of them participate outdoors in the sample, that this year will take place in two different locations.
Between days 6 and 15 of August, it will be developed in Het Stenen Hoofd. The rest of the days, from the 18 to the 22 of August, will be mounted in Studio K. Both places is centric and well is connected with the network of public transport.
The event includes not only cinema, but also the possibility of making new friendly and of being related to people of the diverse interests in the campings that are organized at night, in the light of bonfires, surrounded in the aroma of the food and the drink that is sold there.
